Dorp van de Ronde Aalter is getting ready for Flanders’ Finest
On Sunday 2 April, the Tour of Flanders will depart from Bruges towards Oudenaarde. Along the way, the riders will pass through many villages, including Dorp van de Ronde Aalter. To celebrate the passage of the peloton, the municipality is organising many activities.
In the six sub-municipalities of Aalter through which the Tour is passing, food and drink stands will be provided in the morning. All locations will also have a large screen, meaning spectators won’t have to miss a second of the action. There will be performances throughout the day and there will also be room for children’s entertainment in Bellem. In Knesselare, a tribute will be paid to Bjorg Lambrecht, the rider who died in 2019.
