Ride the spring classics yourself in the Continental Classics Tour
The Continental Classics Tour guarantees lots of cycling fun every year. In 2023, you can also participate in one or several classic tours. Give it your all on the Flemish cobbles like a true Flandrien and ride like a pro on the legendary Flemish climbs.
The new season of the Continental Classics Tour kicks off with - yes, you guessed it - Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Cyclo. On Sunday 26 February, you can kick off your own road cycling season, one day after the pros. From Kuipke in Gent, the course takes you towards the Leberg – Haaghoek duo. Challenges en route include several challenging segments and cobblestone stretches, after which the Wall of Geraardsbergen and Bosberg loom up ahead as you hurtle towards the finish line.
The seven other tours are equally exciting. On Saturday 18 March, the Dwars door Vlaanderen Cyclo is your second event of the season. Then it’s time to shift up a gear, because one week later Gent-Wevelgem Cyclo beckons, with a tour that is steeped in history. Saturday 1 April, one day before the highlight of the cycling season, is all about Flanders’ Finest, of course, giving you an opportunity to ride your own Tour of Flanders during We Ride Flanders.
After the Tour, it’s time to flex our sprinting skills during the Scheldeprijs Cyclo. One week later, the last of the spring classics awaits, in the form of De Brabantse Pijl Cyclo with its arduous climbs. After a short break, we head to the capital of Flemish Brabant on Tuesday 15 August for Ride Leuven. The Continental Classics Tour ends on Saturday 16 September in Haacht with the Super 8 Cyclo.
