DE KOERS Infotainment ONS LEVEN
Carl Berteele has been the voice of the race on Sporza Radio since 1993. Sometimes clear and warm from the studio, often trembling on a motorbike on bumpy cobblestones, or sweating on a crazy climb. Whether it’s the Tour, the World Cup or Flanders’ Finest, Carl analyses the race and what is happening around it like no other, and with lightning speed. He does this with passion, rich language and always to the point. Thirty years of racing seen from the front row provides a wealth of stories and anecdotes, with cycling as unlimited inspiration. Geert Vandenbon is the musician on hand. For instance, he previously went on the road with Michel Wuyts as a singer-songwriter.

Lecture by Filip Osselaer
Filip Osselaer talks about cycling and life, winning and losing, the wonderful experiences during the race and the men who tell their stories (and also great things about the Tour of Flanders). His recent book “Eddy! Planckaert, altijd coureur gebleven” is highly recommended. The lecture will take place on Thursday 16 March at 20:00 at the Luisterhuis (Vleeshuis) – Oudenaarde Library.

Helden van de Kunst
Helden van de Kunst is an art project started last year with pupils from Bernardusdriesprong, a school in Oudenaarde for children with intellectual disabilities. The pupils have made beautiful paintings on canvas on the theme “The Tour of Flanders”, seen through the eyes of the Helden van de Kunst (Heroes of Art). Herr Seele, who has taken on the sponsorship, also painted a special work of art, “De Flandrien”, for this initiative. The works can be seen in the shopping streets of Oudenaarde.
